Josh Heese is an award-winning filmmaker, editor, and motion designer based in Cincinnati, OH.

I’ve had a passion for filmmaking and storytelling ever since I first got my hands on a camera and Windows Movie Maker. Spending afternoons making movies with friends and family was a regular weekend activity growing up, and it’s where my love for creating truly began.

 

After graduating from Asbury University with a degree in Media Communication, I set out to explore the many sides of visual storytelling. Working on a range of film and television sets, I found myself especially drawn to the process that unfolds after production wraps. There’s something incredibly rewarding about being in the final stages of a project and watching the original vision come to life.

 

Over the years, I’ve edited a wide range of work, from branded content to motion graphic pieces, for clients that include local non-profits and global brands. No matter the project, my goal is always the same: to find the most authentic, engaging, and visually striking way to tell each story.

 

My creative focus has expanded into directing and editing documentary films, particularly stories about artists and individuals making a positive impact in the world.

 

My documentary work has been featured in film festivals across the country, and my branded content has earned multiple gold and silver ADDY Awards over the years.
